Advice on Student Loan payments
If you are aware that there will be any delays with your Student Loan payments please see the below advice -
- If you live in halls of residence we advise you to contact Student Fees Office to notify them of the delay and to negotiate a delayed payment date for accommodation/tuition fees
- keep any money you have brought with them for essentials
- If you live in catered halls you should be able to use your meal cards in hospitality
- We have computers set up in the foyer of the Student Welcome Centre which you can use to do DIY checks on progress of your loan so you don't need to use up your mobile credit
- If you have a bank account you may be able to access your student overdraft
- If you need an essential book we would suggest you speak with the library or your department
- We already have free activities on via halls of residence
- We can also issue emergency food cards if none of the above apply or emergency loans from FCF for eligible students
- If you have any concerns and can't manage the above please see a Student Advisor - we have two Advisors available every day.
