EL17720: Planning, Process and Product in Academic Writing   

  • First year: This is a two semester course in academic writing that will help you to work with the requirements of critical essay writing in your individual subject area.   • Students can select a Monday or a Tuesday seminar group (not both).

EL27720: Advanced Communication in English in an Academic Context

  • Second year: This is a one semester course in communication for team-based project development, which involves a range of different academic communication practices, which include web-site development and writing for the web, communicating in seminars, making presentations and international communication via video conferencing.   • Students must attend two seminars per week.

MM20110 & MM31120: Written Communications in Management and Business   (10 and 20 credit options)

 

  • Second or third year: These two modules are taught together in semester 1. MM20110 students finish at the end of semester 1 and students in MM31120 continue in semester 2.

 

  • MM20110 is a first semester only module in critical writing development.
