What you Need to Know about Admissions
Aberystwyth has a policy of responsible recruitment: while we are aware of the competition for the best students, we consider the educational and social needs of our students to be paramount, and want our applicants to make a well informed choice. For this reason, we encourage applicants and their families to visit the University, and, throughout the year, applicants who receive offers from us are invited to attend special Applicant Visiting Days. For the general public and individuals who are thinking about making an application in the future, three Open days are held annually in July and October. In cases where an Interview Is a prerequisite for admission, the University will reimburse 100% of UK mainland travelling costs, if the journey is made by rail, and 50% of the costs, if another means of transport is used. The same financial assistance is available to help successful applicants attend Applicant Visiting Days. (Please note that financial assistance cannot be offered to help attend an Open Day).
