Support for Retirement

Aberystwyth University provides two pension schemes, Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) for staff on Grade 6 and above, and Aberystwyth University Pensions and Assurance Scheme (AUPAS) to staff on Grades 1 to 5.  To be eligible, staff need to be employed on contracts of 3 months or more.

USS employee contributions are 6.35% of their salary and the University contribution equals to 16% of salary.  AUPAS employee contributions are also 6.35% of their salary and the University contribution equals 22.05% of salary.
