TFTS prepares for 48-hour Film Festival

26 January 2017

At 6:30pm on Friday 27th January 2017, students and staff from the department and around the university will be taking part in a special 48-hour film challenge. Participants will work in small groups to plan, script, shoot, edit and screen original short films - all within 48 hours and with prizes on offer for the winners.

The festival is being organised by 3rd year Film and TV student Benjamin Price, who participated in a similar event whilst on an international exchange programme in the United States last year. Due to its location, local landscape and community spirit, Benjamin feels Aberystwyth is an ideal location to host this type of event and is hoping it will become a regular feature in the annual extra-curricular calendar for TFTS students and anyone else with a passion for filmmaking.

Everyone is welcome to take part in the festival by attending the launch and briefing at 6:30pm on Friday (27th January) in A12 Hugh Owen. Participants can come in groups or as individuals as teams will be arranged as part of the briefing event.
