The Department of Theatre, Film and Television Studies is one of the largest in Britain in terms of both staff and student numbers. It has some outstanding facilities and is committed to offering you an integrated scheme of study, combining a wide range of practice-based work with challenging academic activity.
The Department offers some of the most exciting, radical and popular Higher Education courses available today. There has been a revolution in these disciplines during the past twenty years, and this department has led the way in asserting the value and vitality of creative studies underpinned by a strong emphasis on the relationship between theory and practice. The application of such techniques is now widespread, with an increasing number of other academic disciplines quickly becoming aware of the possibilities of learning through the kind of activities which have been the staple fare of this department for many years.

Official Visiting (Applicants) Day Arrangements
Applicants and their families should aim to be at the Parry-Williams building between 1.00 and 1.15 pm (for a 1.30 start) on the day. There will be a series of talks from departmental staff about the different degree schemes on offer, an opportunity to tour the Parry-Williams building and see its facilities as well as a tour of the Campus and accommodation.
