Cwrt Mawr is situated at the highest point of the University Campus, in a prime location close to all the Campus amenities. Many of the rooms also command fine views of the town and the bay, which are just ten minutes walk away.

Cwrt Mawr is within five minutes walk of:

• the bus stop for town
• most academic Departments
• the University Libraries
• the Students’ Union
• Aberystwyth Arts Centre
• the University Sports Centre
• the National Library of Wales.

Communal Facilities

One of Cwrt Mawr’s outstanding features is the communal block which houses:

• large lounge
• bar
• television lounge
• well-equipped launderette
• residential services office
• parking (limited numbers by permit).

The communal block, at the heart of the six residential blocks of Cwrt Mawr, is the hub of an outstanding social life, in which more than 500 undergraduate students from many different courses and many different countries form a vibrant community throughout the year.

Accommodation

Cwrt Mawr has single and twin rooms arranged into self-contained flats with shared kitchens and bathrooms. All bedrooms have connections to the University network and the Internet.

Catering

Students in Cwrt Mawr are self-catering, sharing kitchens in self-contained flats. Cwrt Mawr residents tend to shop either at the food store next door to the Campus, or at the larger supermarkets in the town.
