Accommodation

Penbryn has the shape of a traditional University Hall of Residence, with a mixture of single, twin and bunk rooms opening off broad corridors which also give access to the Hall’s shared bathrooms. All bedrooms have connections to the University network and the Internet. There are onsite laundry facilities.

The Hall houses about 350 students, to whom its chief attraction is probably its convenience both as a catered residence and as the one most centrally located. Penbryn is ideal for the really busy student who, in addition to his or her studies, expects to spend a lot of time engaged in the Students’ Union, in sports or art societies and any other of the fantastic range of extracurricular student activities which Aberystwyth offers.

Catering

One of Penbryn’s outstanding features is the award-winning Tamed Da restauarant. Penbryn is a catered Hall, in which the Accommodation Fees include a fixed charge to cover the cost of about one meal a day. The meal may be taken at Tamed Da, or at any of the University’s restaurants.
