Pentre Jane Morgan (PJM)

As the name suggests, Pentre Jane Morgan comprises more than 100 individual houses in closes and cul-de-sacs surrounded by green space. It is just across the main road from the main campus, connected by a footbridge to ensure students’ safety.  Many of the upper rooms in the houses command fine views of the town and the bay, which are just ten minutes walk away.

Pentre Jane Morgan is also within five minutes walk of:

• CK’s supermarket 
• the bus stop for town
• most academic Departments
• the University Libraries
• the Students’ Union
• Aberystwyth Arts Centre
• the University Sports Centre
• the National Library of Wales. 

Communal Facilities

One of Pentre Jane Morgan’s outstanding features is the communal block, affectionately known as the Pizza Hut because of its shape, which houses:

• the large PJM lounge for communal activities
• chill-out zone
• vending services
• computer suite
• well-equipped launderette
• parking 

PJM has the feeling of a secure village in beautiful surroundings, where the residents - more than 900 students from many different courses and many different countries – create a lively community and neighbourhood.  

Accommodation

Pentre Jane Morgan comprises more than a hundred– individual houses designed to accommodate groups of 7 and 9 students in a mixture of single, twin and bunk bedrooms, sharing kitchen and bathroom facilities. All bedrooms have connections to the University network and the Internet.

Catering

Students in PJM are self-catering, sharing kitchens in their self-contained houses. They tend to shop either at the food store next door to the Campus, or at the larger supermarkets in the town.
