Excellent employment and training prospects for Aberystwyth graduates
The broad range of curricular and extra-curricular careers programmes and initiatives available means that Aberystwyth undergraduates are better placed than ever before to prepare themselves effectively for entering work and further study. For those UK-domiciled first degree students who graduated in June 2006, 90% of those available for work secured employment and/or postgraduate study/research places within six months of graduation.

Employers are attracted to the University by the strength of the academic teaching and the success of its skills development and work placement programmes. A global network of large, medium and small organisations (from industry, commerce and the private sector) contact the Careers Advisory Service directly to recruit Year in Employment Scheme and sandwich course students and, of course, graduates of all disciplines. A wide range of vacancies is advertised in the Careers Library, through Job Link and via the Careers Advisory Service and GO Wales websites. The Careers Library additionally holds information about postgraduate courses and funding.
