"My department is really nice. The lecturers are really helpful. I love my course because we do a range of different subjects within business. Marketing is my favourite. It’s really good and we learn a lot of different things, and if we need any help, there’s always someone there to help us.

Business enterprise is a newly formed club for students, and they bring in a guest speaker every few weeks to talk about their business, how they started it, how they achieved what they’ve done so far. It’s really great for students to learn and listen, because it’s surprising how they started their business and got so far.

In my spare time I’m with different societies, and with sports clubs as well. I was with the tennis club, I joined UNICEF and I also do volleyball. In our spare time also go out clubbing, or for meals in different restaurants around town.

The Arts Centre is really nice. I use it mainly between lectures, to go sit down and have a coffee. I’ve also been to the cinema, which is really nice. It’s also nice to see the art work that’s displayed there.

I work in Joblink, which is the job shop on campus for students. I found the job when I went there to look for a job! They sent me an email to say that had a position available for a student assistant, so I applied for it, was interviewed and got the job, which is great. We basically help students that come in, to find jobs in Aberystwyth, help them to write their CVs, the best way to look for a job; and we also advise them on what they need to do to prepare for an interview. We also put jobs up on the website.

The University does the international buddy scheme which is great. International students who come here, can be assigned a buddy, which is a 2nd or 3rd year student here, and they show them around and help them with any information they need to know. Which is great for the first week when people have no clue what to do.

I want a career in business, and want to end up being a business manager. To do that I need to get a graduate job when I’ve finished, with a high ranking company, where I’ll be able to work in different aspects of business, and from then on decide which aspect I’d like to stay in. This will look great on my CV and will help me for future development.

I would definitely recommend Aberystwyth to others. It’s a great place to be, it’s a great place to study whilst enjoying the university experience. You get a balance of both which is great. It’s a great way to move away from home, and it’s great for your career development."
