"I chose to study at Aberystwyth because I didn't want to be just a number. I went to the Summer University here the year before I had to pick my universities, and I just really loved the feel of the place. It's really welcoming, I just clicked with everybody straight away.
I do Biology. It has been a passion of mine since I was really little. IBERS is one of the biggest departments within the University. The lecturers are really friendly, if you have any problems you can literally go up to them at any time, and they're really willing to help. They really want you to pass your course, and for you to enjoy your time here.
There are a lot of 24 hour computer rooms dotted about the place. The labs in the biology department are all interconnected, so you'll have your lecturer in the top department and he'll be able to control all the cameras and zoom into what he's doing, so everyone in the lower labs can see what's happening as well.
In Aberystwyth everyone's really welcoming. Within the first two weeks I was settled in. You get to taste everything to make sure that the course you are doing is right for you."
