Business and Management Degree

Good managers are hard to find. To be a good manager, you must deal on a daily basis with a complex range of economic, financial, human and legal issues: issues which can have a profound impact on the lives of the people you manage and on the performance of the business you work in. You must be both a good team player and a good leader of the team; with the clarity of vision to set priorities, and the inter-personal skills needed both to delegate responsibility and to enable and support the work of your staff.

The Business and Management degree will enable you to develop a broad understanding of management in the business context. You will develop the skills to analyse management issues in relation to company priorities, staff needs and external factors, and be introduced to current perceptions of good management practice.

Here at Aberystwyth, you will study Business and Management in a Department, which:

  • makes world-leading contributions to research and practice;
  • combines traditional academic teaching with up-to-date training in the skills you will need for business;
