Spanish degrees at Aberystwyth University
Degrees in Spanish from Aberystwyth are available in three formats, with different subject weightings:
- Joint Honours Spanish degrees:
- 50% Spanish and 50% another language or subject
- Major/Minor Spanish degrees: either
- 66% Spanish and 33% another language or subject or
- 33% Spanish and 66% another language or subject
All students of Spanish degrees take compulsory modules in Spanish language (including composition, translation, comprehension and oral). In addition you choose non-language modules from a range of options which is largely modern in emphasis. The third year of your Spanish degree is spent in one or more Spanish-speaking countries. Students of Aberystwyth's Spanish degree courses also have the opportunity to take modules in the Spanish of contemporary current affairs and business usage. available.
