Why did you choose to study at Aberystwyth?

When I came on an Open Day I was impressed with how friendly everybody was, by the views, and it was nice being close to the countryside and the sea. The Department and the staff were really friendly.

What are the academic facilities like?

The libraries are really good, everybody gets a library card and we have access to four different libraries. Some departments have their own libraries, and the National Library of Wales is really easy to use.

What about the sporting facilities?

I’m in the football club and it’s really good. They organise socials, as well as weekly training sessions and it’s a good way of meeting people. The Sports Centre has a swimming pool and runs weekly fitness sessions including different types of things like boxercise, circuit training and things like that, there’s also the gym and astroturf

What do you like best about Aberystwyth?

The close-knit community here. It’s not a big city place, but it’s big enough to meet enough different people.
