"I’ve really enjoyed my course so far. The staff are very approachable and there’s a lot of variety in the lectures, the labs are very good too. As well as learning the theory, we put a lot into practice as well. The University does a lot of great research in many different fields.
Before I came to the University, I initially came on an Open Day and I enjoyed it very much. Everyone was very friendly and in the town, too. After applying, I came on a Visiting Day and really enjoyed it, and learnt a lot about the department. I also met the Physics Society who are a great bunch of students, and were very welcoming and approachable.
Once I’ve graduated, I’m thinking of becoming a commercial airline pilot or possibly going into banking – the numerical and logical skills appeal to me a lot and physics certainly helps me to get there.
I’d recommend the University to anyone. It’s a very friendly place, both at the University and in the town. The town isn’t too big and isn’t too small either. You’ve got the hills on one side, sea the other and everything else in between!!
