Psychology Degree - Single Honours
The Psychology degree at Aberystwyth University tries to explain how the most complex natural structure in the known universe, the human brain, works. Psychology is the analytical study of the complexities of human behaviour in the attempt to understand why we behave the way we do: what part is played by our genes, our family environment, our social and cultural context and so on. As a Psychology degree student you'll seek evidence-based answers to these questions.
From the start of your Psychology degree you will be introduced to the key ideas, theories and research findings that have influenced psychology: social psychology, individual difference theory, biopsychology and so on. You will begin to learn methods of psychological research, so that you can conduct your own investigations into human behaviour.
