Combined Welsh degrees

Combining Welsh with another subject

Welsh speakers should go to the Welsh Department website to find out the many subjects which can be combined with Welsh at Aberystwyth.

In these combined degrees the Welsh component is delivered through the medium of Welsh, so that they are not immediately available to Welsh Beginners. If you are a Welsh Beginner, you would have to take the first two years of BA Welsh for Beginners (Q522) before transferring to the second year of one these degrees. Such transfers are not always available, but our degree structures are as flexible as possible. Click on the UCAS code link for more detail about the subjects which interest you.

It is also worth mentioning the Single Honours degree in Celtic Studies Q500, which is available to Wesh Beginners and which combines the study of Welsh with other aspects of Welsh and Celtic culture.
