Question: Is there a social life in Aberystwyth?

Answer: Students at Aberystwyth enjoy an active and extensive social life spread around the campus and the town. Because ours is a relatively compact environment, you will find that you will frequently meet people, not only from your own course, but from other courses as well. The social life is hectic throughout the week and during weekends at several venues in the local pub scene, and on campus in the Students' Union and the Arts Centre.

Question: What banks are available?

Answer: Aberystwyth has branches of most of the main high street banks (Barclays, HSBC, NatWest, Lloyds/TSB and branches of all the larger building societies - Alliance & Leicester, Halifax, Nationwide, etc).

Question: What's the price of a pint?

Answer: Currently the cheapest pint we could obtain (March 2002) was £1 for lager and £1.20 for bitter. There are around 60 places to enjoy a drink in Aberystwyth, so we'll leave it to you to discover where the cheapest is.
