Welsh Medium Study Scholarships
97% of our graduates who have studied Welsh medium modules are in work or further study six months after graduating (DHLE, 2017). We are therefore pleased to offer Scholarships to encourage Welsh speakers to follow part - or all - of their course through the medium of Welsh.
- Higher Scholarship - £250 a year (for taking at least 40 credits through the medium of Welsh each year)
- Motivation Scholarship - £100 a year (for taking up to 39 credits through the medium of Welsh each year)
Students do not have to apply for these Scholarships – those who register on eligible modules will automatically receive the payment. Details of eligible modules will be available upon registration at the start of each academic year.
Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol Scholarships
The aim of the Scholarship scheme is to offer financial support to students studying through the medium of Welsh. There are three levels of award, depending on the number of credits available to study through the medium of Welsh (The Williams Salesbury Scholarship, the Lead Scholarships and the Incentive Scholarships). Scholarships range from £1,500 to £5,000.
It is possible to hold a Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol Scholarship alongside any Aberystwyth University awards.
