Extra Art After School Club

The Extra Art After School Club at Penglais School has been running since September 2000. The free sessions aim to provide the opportunity to study within a supportive and friendly group and has pupils from Penglais, Penweddig and Coleg Ceredigion.

The course encourages an experimental and creative approach to life drawing whilst emphasising the acquisition of fundamental drawing skills & the ability to make sound critical judgement. Students have the opportunity to work in a variety of mediums including charcoal, pen & ink, biro, pastel & collage. Art historical references are also introduced through the examination of individual artists.

Young artists also have the chance to attend additional Saturday Art Sessions.
