STEM - UK Widening Access Outreach
The National HE STEM Programme is an initiative funded by the Higher Education Funding Councils in England and Wales. It supports higher education institutions in encouraging the exploration of new approaches to recruiting students and delivering programmes of study within the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics disciplines.
It also enables the transfer of best practice across the higher education STEM sector, facilitates wider adoption and encourages innovation.
Recently, it has produced the 'Good Practice Guide' (English language only) based on four key pilot programmes:
- Chemistry for our future
- London Engineering Project
- More Maths Grads, and
- Stimulating Physics.
