Political Economies of Democratisation

European Research Council (grant no 202596)

Political Economies of Democratisation is a four year project (2008-2012) based at the International Politics Department. It critically examines and seeks to rethink the contemporary democracy promotion agenda in world politics. Its central focus is on opening up room for consideration of different ‘politico-economic models of democracy' in current democracy promotion. The project is funded by the European Research Council under the European Community's 7th Framework Programme (2007-2013) (grant no 202596).

Views expressed by the project team, and contributors and participants at events organised, are those of the individuals who express them. The European Community is not liable for the views expressed or the use that may be made of any information associated with the project.
