Opening Times:
Laboratory 1 or Room BA9 is open 24 hours per day
Laboratory 2 or Room BA8 is open 24 hours per day
Note : Access to these rooms after 6.30pm is by Library Swipe Card.
The Technician is available from 08.40am until 5.00pm Monday - Thursday. 08.40am until 4.00pm on Friday
The Technician's office is Room B7 (within the Language Resource Centre), Floor B, Hugh Owen Building, Penglais Campus, Aberystwyth University, SY23 3DY
Dos and Don'ts
The equipment in these language laboratories is very expensive and we would ask students and staff to treat it with respect.
1. Make sure that you leave the workstation in a tidy condition with everything returned to its proper place (i.e. keyboard, mouse, headset, chair).
2. If you are the only person in the laboratory turn off the main lights after use.
3. Remember, food and drinks of any sort are strictly prohibited in the Language Laboratory Suite (Crumbs and spilt liquids can seriously damage the equipment. This also applies to the waste material from erasers, pencil sharpeners and similar).
4. Computers must not be moved from their normal resting place nor interfered with in any way.
5. Faults should be reported as soon as possible to the Technical staff or noted in the appropriate report sheet (normally by the console).
