Brief description
The course aims to provide insight into how art objects are made by a practical and theoretical examination of the techniques, materials and tools of the artist's trade; considering their historical development and current practice as well as the more radical changes in conventions. Practical workshops, and analyses of original examples from the University's significant collections of fine and decorative art, will be used.
