Brief description
This module covers art and applied arts produced by artists in Wales and by Welsh artists working outside Wales, mainly in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and studied in relation to their European context. The history of art in Wales including, patronage, collecting, education, artist groups, etc and the study of Art History texts dealing with notions of Welsh art, art and nationality are set against the background of the social, political and religious history of Wales.
