Brief description
This module covers art and applied art produced by artists in Wales and Welsh artists working outside Wales in the 20th century and studied in relation to their European and international context and significance. The history of 20th century art in Wales, including patronage, collecting, education, artists groups, etc and the study of contemporary art criticism dealing with notions of Welsh Art and national identity are set against the background of the social, political and religious history of Wales.
