Enabling objectives:

After studying this module you should be able to:

• understand the importance of baseline studies, monitoring, and post-development audits;

• describe a range of monitoring techniques which can be used to suit a variety of potential impacts;

• plan a post-development audit;

• describe a range of prediction techniques and discuss their limitations;

• describe the data requirement needs for baseline studies, monitoring and post-development audits;

• list, and know where it is appropriate to use, a variety of data manipulation techniques.

Terminal objective :

• To appreciate the range of data which need to be collected during an EIA, how these data can be managed, and the benefits of computer software.
