Brief description
This module aims to identify the role and function of the stage management team in contemporary professional theatre practice, and to examine the procedures of this team from planning to performance. Students will work with the staff director in a key role in the stage management team on two productions which will take place during the students' practical semester. It is also hoped that short placements can be arranged for students to experience different aspects of stage management from the practice at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester, to TIE, site specific, etc.
