IT skills: the UWA network, WWW, email, basic word processing
Finding sources of technical information
Discussing technical subjects
Writing in good technical English
Keeping laboratory and field notebooks
Team skills
Studying efficiently
Giving effective oral presentations
Mastering basic numerical, physical and chemical skills
Producing effective technical reports
Planning your career.
The topics will be covered in a combination of staff presentations, videos, small-group discussions
(tutorials), and set exercises. An exact timetable will be made available at the beginning of the
module.

The module introduces/reviews a range of skills essential in modern professional activities associated with environmental earth
science.
