Brief description
This course is designed for students who wish to deepen their understanding of the cultural diversity now found in British society and its implication for schooling. It examines the theories and practices underpinning multicultural educational policies in the United Kingdom and overseas.

The tutotials provide opportunities to investigate and discuss themes form the lectures.
Visits to multi-ethnic schools in Birmingham are an integral part of the course. Students are also provided with first-hand experience of multi-ethnic community centres and non-Christian places of worship.
