Brief description
This course will examine some major Irish writers from the turn of the century up to the present day. Authors included will be Oscar Wilde, James Joyce, Seamus Heaney, Shaw, O'Casey and others. Works will be examined in terms of contemporary Irish history, within an Anglo-Irish literature tradition and from both Irish and English perspectives.
