Brief description
This course aims to introduce some aspects of Modern French society since the 1930s. Particular topics studied will be: the Popular Front; The Occupation, the Resistance and the Liberation; De Gaulle; The Left in France to the Present Day.
Learning outcomes
On completion of this module, students will be conversant with the more recondite parts of French literature dealing with modern history.
