Learning outcomes
Students will be expected to be able to situate literary themes and ideas in a social context. Close reading of the texts will also develop literary critical skills.
Brief description
The module will examine the distinction between individual revolt and the notion of social revolution in a variety of films and texts. It will introduce students to key themes in twentieth-century French writing.
