Brief description
Translation, composition and comprehension of texts involving the use of the contemporary French language used in the world
of business and current affairs.
For the oral presentation element, students will be asked to form themselves into groups no larger than 4. They will be asked to research particular topics and then to present their findings, in French, in class. Each member of the group will be expected to conduct research and to participate in the oral presentation.
Students will be set such tasks as reporting on the economic policies of one particular political party in France; or on a multinational company; or on a Societe Anonyme in France; or on the impact and importance of one company or a particular industry on a French region.
