Brief description
The aim of this module is to ensure that postgraduates acquire the appropriate level of skills in relation to information retrieval/handling and computing skills. In doing so the module will enable students to develop and/or consolidate experience with library resources, electronic information resources, word processing and other computer facilities.

Learning outcomes
On completion of this module, students will be able to

outline the range of sources appropriate to their search

list bibliographies providing access to those sources

conduct and record an information search in their subject area

demonstarte competence in the use of word processing, e-mail and electronic databases.
