Aims of the module
To demonstrate how technology is employed in order to manipulate farm animal reproduction, growth and lactation.
Learning outcomes
On completion of this module students will be able to: Understand how modern technology has been harnessed to improve farm animal reproduction, growth, development and lactation
Syllabus / Curriculum design
In vitro fertilisation, embryo manipulation, immuno-modulation of reproduction, lactation, growth, production of transgenic animals, fertility management, hormonal manipulation.
