Aims


This module aims to introduce students to the economic study of non-market decision making, or simply to the application of economics to political science. We will focus on voting procedures, voter behaviour, the theory of the state, and bureaucratic behaviour among others. The mehtodology is that of economics, ie the theory of rational choice.

Objectives


On completion students will have an understanding of the theory of rational choice as applied to the study of non-market decision making.
