Brief description


The study of selected issues in general linguistic theory and comparative linguistics, with reference to the languages in the Department of European Languages.

Learning outcomes


Students will have a detailed command of certain major topics in linguistic theory (e.g. language change) which are of relevance for the study of language in general, not just of one particular language.
