Brief description


.An introduction to the rudiments of business language in French. Work will be based on (a) texts for translation (b) comprehension exercises on economic/political matters (c) a study of an important commercial area (e.g. the wine Industry) (d) students' presentations on an approved topic (e.g. the introduction of the euro).

Learning outcomes


On completion of this module, students will be well based to continue with their study of this field during their year abroad, and ready to embark on the advanced course on the same subject during their fourth year.
