Brief description


This module forms part of the core Level 3 programme in European Languages (German Minor) and is one of the three written language courses taken inthat year. It thus follows on from the appropriate module in earlier years (GE20010) and aims to deepen students' understanding of German as a written language, with the emphasis being exclusively on the ability to translate accurately and idiomatically from German. Students who successfully complete the module should be able to comprehend and translate accurately from a variety of registers of German. The formatis as follows: one fortnightly class (in common with GE30120) plus an additional 4 hours spread over the session, at times agreed by the lecturer and students involved)
