Module Aims


This module examines two themes. Firstly, it explores the changing experience of traditional rural residents and assesses the impact of the 'new middle/service class' in rural regions in the developed world. Secondly it addresses how planning and policy strategies have emerged and developed over the last sixty years to accommodate growth and to stimulate regeneration in the countryside.
