By the end of this module students should be able to :-

Module Aims


The module aims to examine the contemporary and historical development of state intervention in the urban arena, concentrating on the areas of housing, urban policy and labour market policy. In so doing the course seeks to analyse critically the reasons for, and limits to, state intervention in urban development, stressing the interaction between local, national and broader international political processes.
