Brief description

In common with Masters degree schemes elsewhere, students are required to write a reasonably long piece of independent work (12-15,000 words).

In our view, this is a key criteria for judging whether an individual can properly be called a Master of her or his subject. The Dissertation is an essential part and indeed should represent the culmination of the learning experiences in the course modules.

The first part of the (S) and (RT) pathway must be successfully completed before the Dissertation can be submitted. Candidates for both must submit a Dissertation on an agreed topic by 13 September of the year following registration.
