Aims
This module aims to introduce students to several modern approaches to analysing, forming, implementing and evaluating, business and multibusiness strategy. It also aims, by using case studies (prepared by students in small groups) as an integral part of the module's design, to develop students' teamwork, communication and presentational skills.
Learning outcomes
After completing this module you will:

Understand the process, content and context dimensions of business strategy;

Understand key issues relating to:
the process of strategy formation and change;
the content of strategy at corporate, business and network levels;
the sensitivity of process and content to organisational context;
the dynamic features of business strategy;

Demonstrate a knolwedge of effective strategic change and organisational learning;

Recognise the strategic priorities of developing the firm's resources ane capabilities to exploit marketplace opportunities; and,

Appreciate the contingency issues underlying business strategy theory and practice
