Module description

Countryside Organisations are the vehicle by which countryside management is achieved and implemented. Organisations are numerous, changing and vary enormously in their objectives, policies, size and funding. To comprehend the implementation of countryside management the student needs a working knowledge of all the major organisations.
It is particularly important for the student to be aware of the forces influencing the policies of major organisations and of the interrelationships between these organisations. The mechanisms by which organisations can implement policies need to be understood.
