Analyse data and conduct statistical tests of the null hypothesis.


Performance criteria:
a. Correct arithmetic procedures are followed.
b. Test statistics are correctly compared to published values.

Results are interpreted and presented.

a. A suitable report format is chosen.

Module description


This module is optional and partly provided for students who wish to transfer to the degree course in Countryside Management. Course content is designed to develop skills in the formulation of questions, the design of simple trials and experiments, the analysis of numerical data and the interpretation of results in report form. The module content will facilitate the understanding and interpretation of literature in biological and social sciences.
