Brief description

This module is concerned primarily with the technology of modern communications systems and, in particular the Internet. It is not intended to inculcate a deep technical understanding of the field but rather to provide an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of current technology, particularly as it affects e-commerce. The module also discusses likely developments over the next few years.
