On completion of this module, students should be able to:

Brief description

The last 20 years has witnessed an on-going debate as to what constitutes the best strategy for improving the health of the nation. Among the issues examined are: key concepts in health education; the influence of diet, exercise and physiological stress on health; indicators to good health; epidemiology and its role in health education; risky behaviours; health education and promotion; factors influencing the health promoting message; the influence of health promotion on society; health and academic performance; and health promotion in schools.
