Learning outcomes

On completion of this module, students will be conversant with some of the important aspects of twentieth-century French history.

Brief description

This course aims to introduce some aspects of Modern French society since the 1930s. Particular topics studied will be: the Popular Front; The Occupation, the Resistance and the Liberation; De Gaulle; The Left in France to the Present Day.
